Prophesy: Nigeria May Collapse in 2008

Former Lagos based prominent man of God, has warned that Nigeria may be heading towards a dangerous disintegration as well as punishments awaiting political big-wigs in what reminds one of the events that rocked the second republic in 1983.

Attending to journalists at the end of the 35th Annual Taborah thanksgiving anniversary of The Evangelical Church of Yahweh at Ilorin recently, the General Overseer, Apostle Theophilus Olabayo said: “Niger Delta and South East, if the problem is not well managed will lead to the end of the government of Yar` Adua and the end of Nigeria”.

The man of God had earlier that the Federal Government about applying military solution to the Niger Delta crisis in his last year ministration arguing that it may further degenerate into unforeseen crisis like kidnapping and destruction of oil installations. “Many political office holders will not survive the year 2009 as the year will witness more political killings and political earthquake will happen that will rock politicians and corrupt leaders”. Prophet Olabayo also admonishes Nigeria to pray against attempt to secede by a section of the country.

Decrying president Yar` Adua`s rule of law, he said: “It is the rule of ruin as most Nigerians are further impoverished from the grassroot level”. “I don’t see Nigeria going to war but her soul will pass through crucible, many states like Kwara, Oyo, Ekiti, Edo, Rivers, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Nassarawa, Ondo, Benue, Kogi and Lagos will witness some political and religious upheavals. These skirmishes will stall various inputs at the centre.”

The man of God who successfully predicted that many of the April 2007 elections victories would be upturned by the election petition tribunals added that political godsons and godfathers shall be at each others throat while incessant in-fighting among them will lead to chaos. He also predicted that the inability to fix the energy and ensure hitch free petroleum and other related products like kerosene will make the government of Yar Adua vulnerable.

As a punishment for misrule and infliction of untold hardship on the masses, he said “many governors will land in prisons while something great and unusual is about to happen to the governors which need prayers and guidance”. He added that many senators and House of Representatives members will have problems in their community while the leader of house of representative leader is warned against external and family influence.
