An American born singer, songwriter, actress, gifted dancer and an author, Tina Turner was born on the 26th of November 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee to Floyd and Zelma Bullock, who were poor sharecroppers; she was raised early in life alongside her sister by her grand-mother after the divorce of parents.
She struggled through life and became a celebrity; she is currently married to Ervin Back after separation from her former lover, Ike Turner in 1978 – the relationship lasted from 1962 to 1978. Hitherto, Tina is blessed with three children, Ronnie Turner, Raymond Craig Turner.
The Grammy Award winner, she rose into stardom in the 60s when she sang and performed with Ike Turner – ex-husband. Later in life, she went solo to become an international entertainer and singer with the songs like “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Better Be Good to Me,” “Private Dancer” and “Typical Male.”
In 1991, Tina was elected into the Hall of Fame of Rock. She eventually relinquished her US citizenship in 2013 when she acquired a citizenship status of Switzerland.
Slated for the spring of 2018 at the Aldwych Theatre in London’s West End, TINA, the musical will depict a biographical account of the singer’s life and career and will feature some of her most popular hits.
